Question about taking 40 people to raid

Played back in Vanilla and always raided with 40 people, my question is, with people knowing more than they did back then, do guilds on this server run with 40 people, or is it easy to run with like 25?

Everyone tryhards with 40 people (fucking nerds), but you could clear the content with 20 people.

So, all the guilds like top 10 guilds, run with 40 people on this server?

Yeah, with vanilla balancing, you could have half the raid die and still kill the boss with relative ease. Bringing 40 people just makes the bosses die faster. You can pretty easily do them with 20, granted that those 20 are all well-geared.

But yeah, on some bosses it's a simple tank & spank with some mechanics involving dispels, which actually makes it easier with less than 40 players.
But has anyone actually done a fight like Garr with 25 on Nost?
It sounds good to talk about on the forums, but has anyone actually done MC/Ony with less than a full raid?

Did ony with 24 ppl tonight, most off us decently geared and knew tacts very well. But I personally prefer running with 40 ppl, stuff die quicker and I find it easier. Room for error.

You can do ony with like 15 people, probably less. When my guild has more than 40 people online we split into 2 ony groups for more lootz, and it's still very easy to kill.

Im on my phone atm and will take ages to copy paste a link so just google: onyxia jugment 4man kill. I have even theorised that obyxia is posible with 3 man, but a geared paladin tank is required for the job.

I'd argue that it's not technically "4 man" since they had lots of class buffs from people who weren't in the group.

Plus they were like, full T2/T3, with as many consumables and world buffs stacked as they possibly could. :P

On retail onyxia was 3manned once players had tier 3 with 2.0 talents and TF though.

Well, we had her on 10% aswell without any world buffs. Phase 3 was more about getting a smooth transition when she lands and make sure she lands at a good spot. It's alot of RNG, and the worldbuffs certainly wasn't needed except as a buffer.

That was with tier 2 gear, I think with current gear it would be very hard, not that I haven't speculated of the possiblity ;)
