Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Everytime I try to connect and get to character select it just immediately says unable to connect to server. Are they currently down for a patch? couldnt find any info. Am I banned? Havn't had time to, just started 2 days ago. Anyone else experiencing this?

usually means you used the wrong password, server is up atm.
