Hey

Is Nostalrius based on TrinityCore? If so, do you still pull in changes from their public repository as bugs get fixed? Just want to know if it's possible to contribute to the development of Nost.

I don't like bumping, but I did anyway. Sorry.

I assume Nostalrius is a fork off of some open source emulator, such as mangos - but that is now kept closed source to prevent others from setting up competitors. With this in mind, do you accept help from the community with resolving bugs from the bugtracker? I am sure there are untapped developer resources in this rather large private server community.

TrinityCore has nothint to do with 1.12.1 from Nostalrius.
They often said that they developed everything on their own.
Maybe they are based on Mangos when they've started but I guarantee that you would not see anything of this anymore at this point of developmemt.

Just enjoy the brilliant work of this guys.
Love Nostalrius

I highly doubt this, but that said there's no doubt they have put a lot of effort in to improving it

All of the 1.12 projects are based on the same core - mangos zero. There were some attempts of backporting Trinity to 1.12, but mangos was simply the better option. Of course there are parts that have been rewritten/changed, for example pathfinding, most of dungeon/raid scripts, plus heavy performance improvements.

Can't contribute directly, but if you see a bug on this server that originates from mangos zero code, fix it in origin repo and give a link to devs ;)

You could try asking the specifics from Daemon. He posts a lot about the dev side of Nost.
