So now that tribute is super broken, when is the mara fix?

Because I'm still going to make thousands of gold in mara and continue to "ruin" the economy.

Why does the community cry about one thing when we can just do the same thing in slightly smaller quantities? I don't see any threads about people saying that we shouldn't be able to solo mara because it generates too much gold.

Is it because lots of classes can solo mara so it should be allowed? If you fix one thing, you have to fix them all, otherwise you become inconsistent and will be easily manipulated in the future just like you were here, devs.

I think we should all riot as a community and get them to spawn 1000 of every herb and ore node in the game since they'll definitely do it if enough of us cry about it, right?

I don't believe many preventative measures aimed to stem gold farming have really been made by the Nostalrius developers, but there's no reason to feel bitter if there are any steps taken to reduce or eliminate certain methods of generating income.

Blizzard's developers made changes during the course of the game, ranging from randomizing or removing certain chests, and removing drops. If the developers of Warcraft during the Vanilla era were as keen on the topic of gold farming as we are now, a lot of these options wouldn't exist in their current form.

Personally I just find it amazing that with enough crying from the community the devs will change ingame content to cater to the babies.

They made tribute farming nearly impossible because of the community crying. I'm just taking a shot at all these idiots because even though they fixed that we can still generate 60-80% of the gold we were previously.

I'm just surprised that with enough crying then the nostalrius staff will give in and change things that weren't meant to be changed yet.

Not mad about what you think I'm mad about.

I literally only saw one thread about hunters farming DM north being broken before the fix was made, as opposed to the countless threads of hunters crying after the fix. Going by your logic the fix would have been reverted by now. Possibly with even more loot added to the chest, if forum tears really is the catalyst of ingame changes.

Nain's point still stands, this is the only instance of Nostalrius nerfing a gold farming method.
20-40% is still a substantial amount and I'm sure you agree with that since you bothered making this thread, so your "shot" is a miss.

If they nerf mara, I hope they plan on nerfing Scholo, because hunters can solo that too. And ZF, because hunters can solo that too. And BRD arena, because hunters can solo that too. And...you get the idea.

Hunters can solo so much shit to farm gold; it'd be easier to just remove hunters from the game instead of "nerfing" all of the things they can solo.

But the thing is, this is a vanilla server. It's supposed to be like vanilla, not vanilla + modern changes. For the server to be truly "blizzlike", things like this have to remain intact. When the admins start implementing non-blizzlike scripts to break things that were blizzlike in vanilla, that's kinda bad.

Fixing serious bugs and exploits, yeah, that's fine. But DM N soloing did not involve any bugs or exploits. Just clever use of ingame mechanics. Even Blizzard didn't "fix" it the same way nost did, they just changed it in 1.9, making it so that you can't solo pull the king anymore. You could still solo it, it was just harder to do.
