I stopped playing on the server early june because I didn't like the lag, has the lag improved at all or is it still horrendous??

Lag is completely gone with up to ~8k online. I don't know what they did, but they did good.

I can only agree. Running very smoothly now.

I just wanted to say that I never really thought about it, but it's true that the lag is gone. I remember lag being a huge isue, and then it dissappeared. I feel like they deserve some credit for that, especially amongst these industrial bans.

Now that all the summer kids are gone, the server isn't going over 7500 players anymore, so it doesn't lag nearly as bad.

It's improved a bit but the lag is still @ least on .5 second delay. I am from West Coast though so my ping is usually higher.

Moot touched upon that question a while back in a long faq thread before he stepped down and shit. The peak of activity on 4chan was during January, not during the summer. People tend to, you know, go out and enjoy the sun during summer.

I would expect something similar to be true for nostalrius, so I wouldn't be surprised if January will be the month when we see some new record numbers.
