What is wrong with this mob tagging...

I am a warlock and i put both my dots on a mob then right after my second dot is on a mage just shot the mob and he gets the mob, same with other classes my dots where on first both of them clearly by a second but the other guy egts the mob? why is this? no lag whatsoever i have.

A mob becomes tagged towards you once you damage it, not once you aggro it for whatever reason.

Your dots will only tag if they ticked damage on the mob. If you want to guarantee the tag just searing pain the mob quickly or immolate it. Or wand it.

Dots without instant damage always run that risk.

I think this is kind of bad, why is everyone so greedy anyways? i finally find a spawned bird then a warrior uses every speedboost he has and charge just to steal it, just now someone tried to fear a mob of mine away so he became untagged again maybe i mean come on. I mostly even help poeple when i have to go somwehere i let my pet attack mobs people are fighting along the way, someone even pulled a mob i was about to pull and then died to 3 mobs because he was to greedy, why?

I had a mage spam sheep on a quest mob I was killing cuz I had got to it first. Then he went oom and lolz were had by all

OP, you seem to be thinking of retail's tagging system.

In vanilla, mobs tag when damaged, not when aggroed.
