10g Rank 11 mount; when will it change?

I was wondering for how long the PvP rank 11 mount will require a 75 riding skill.
I'm currently grinding for it and it would suck if that would change just before I hit rank 11.

Does anyone know when the mount will require a 150 riding skill?

It won't ever change iirc.

And if you want an epic mount it's infinitely faster to grund the gold. Just saying.

It was one of the final patches. The highlights for 1.12.1 is major mount changes so i'm thinking it's reasonable to assume it was then.

When I last played retail WoW (Cataclysm), the rank 11 mount in my bank I earned in 2005 still required 75 riding.

how much would it take in play time to get 1000g vs get rank 11 you think?
Rank 11 would take at least 15 days of /played
1000g.. depending on the class... at most 2 days?

If you're farming at a miserable 30g/hour, it's only ~30 hours of farming to get your mount.

Just going from rank 10 to rank 11 will take more than 30 hours. That's one rank.

I would double check that to be honest, unless they changed it back. I hit rank 11 the day whatever patch it was went live and i needed 150 riding for the wolf.

You're half-right.

During the final weeks of vanilla, during the switch to the new honor system, they started giving away new versions of the PVP mounts for marks of honor. Those PVP mounts required 150 riding, but did not require any particular rank. The rank 11 mounts that players had prior to that change kept their requirement of riding 75. Even though the new mounts were called the same thing, and appeared exactly the same, they were actually a different item with a different requirement. I think (but am not certain) that people who had them were also grandfathered in with a free upgrade to 150 riding skill.

But since Nost will (probably) never use that pre-TBC patch, and the riding skill for the mounts in your inventory will never change even if they stop offering 75 riding epics, it's safe to say I'm MORE right. :p
