Server should evolve in time?

by madhorde » Tue Mar 03, 2015 7:44 am

Like 2 years from now it should become a TBC server? Then a WotlK ? And maybe stop there?

Don't you think being only vanilla will be boring in the long run? The population is great.

It was already discussed, if you check official posts you will see that there will be a BTC serwer (separated form vanilla) and you will be allowed to copy your character to the TBC server.

Sincerely I do hope that they will stop on TBC, because everything after TBC was pure crap.

I agree, TBC improved upon an already awesome game, while still maintaining all the other things that made it challenging

very very great expansion, I was not even a raider, but it was awesome to be in a raiding guild and seeing there progression :)

it also still had the great community

Seriously, i'm happy as long as we don't get flymounts, resilience items and easy mode quest tracker. IMO, that's what ruined wow after vanilla and i never played wow vanilla, i started off with TBC, but even i know that these shit can ruin the feel of an mmorpg.

-Flying mounts removes the feeling of the the world because you can simply skip obstacles as much as you want to get from point A to Z. In a PVP server, it's worse since it's not like you can fight in the air.
-Resilience, as much as i like to pvp, imo, the pve players should be rewarded just as much with their pve items that should always be good to use as pvp items as-well.
-The quest tracker completely erased the existence of wow from my mind. Yes, i can always disable it, but where's the sense of accomplishment even if i do when everyone else can complete it just as easily with the quest tracker?

So what i'm saying is that, i won't mind and i would like to eventually see all the expansions without these 3 things if possible. If it's not possible, then i rather stay with Vanilla level 60 and be done with it.

Sorry but WoW's glory was in WotlK, it was then that WoW's subs increased to 12.5 million.

Wotlk was the best.

I quit when TBC hit as I was burned out on WoW. But I came back for WotLK and really enjoyed it. Vanilla and WotLK are neck-in-neck for my favorite MMO experience.

READ THE FAQ AND ANNOUNCEMENT FAQ, PLEASE.

This has been discussed dozen times and doesn't even need to be discussed in the first place because this is all explained in those sections I mentioned on this very site. There's nothing more to discuss about how they have it planned because it's already explained by the devs. And besides, when it happens (according to how the devs have already told you how it's going to happen) - is perhaps 3-4 years away. So any details regarding it don't even exist right now and who really cares, when it's such a far away plan.

Personally, I'd rather see custom content developed using the 1.12.1 platform--an alternate post-60 experience, if you will. It isn't possible without modifying the client via a patch, though.
