about cooking and fishing

Heya, if I wanna cook without fishing, do I lose much? And then, is fishing for making end game foods hard, if I have to fish. I mean, clicking the blob in the water right time is bit hard for me, long story why. And I dont really feel like training to catch fishes, I would be able to catch them with alot of training and banging head to wall, but meh.. In newb levels I miss it alot, does it get easier when I got fishing levels and fish for better fishes? The reason I am asking this is, I love fishing and hanging in beautiful shores in general, and I also love cooking. its kinda odd, but I really would like to focus on alchemy and cooking/fishing, but I dont know.. I kinda wanna ask these guestions. prolly I go learn catch fishes anyway.. but thanks for helping me out guys ^_^

Fishing is indeed a very great help for cooking and can save you a lot of gold.

Fishing is very supply/demand dependant... If everyone has it, then it is next to worthless, if few people have it, it is a source to endless gold.
Personally... I'm probably getting it, and leveling it sporadically whenever I feel like it. Once I hit 60, I'll probably start to focus more on it to get it to 300. But then again... That's my plan for all the professions I'm picking up.

You can max out cooking in under an hour provided you buy everything you need. Fishing will take a whole lot longer to level, sometimes spending 10 minutes not gaining a single level.

Haven't bothered to level Fishing yet. I leveled Cooking as I leveled my character with no issues because I never vendored meat until I was sure I couldn't get any more skillups.

Is the cooking trainer for Undead in UC?

Fishing helps get those last few skill points in cooking more reliably, as the highest non fish recipe turns green some time before 300, 285 or so if I had to guess.

I got my last points by farming the everliving shit out of LBRS (I needed my xbow and UBRS key). All those doges drop the top tier Stam food which skilled me all the way up to 300.
