It seems to me that there are a lot more choices for raiding guilds on the Alliance side. Am I correct in assuming this?

Yes, if you look at it from min-maxing perspective, alliance has an advantage because of their racials + paladins.

Thanks for the responses. I've got a shaman to 54 but can't decide if I'm going to raid on him since I will need to heal if I want to.

Anyone aware of any 1 night a week EU raiding guilds?

In some respects, the best faction for raiding is horde.

For instance, if you're feeling tryhard, all you have to do is level an alliance priest and paladin to 60, and then mind control your horde character for kings and salvation before important fights. That way, you get paladin buffs AND totems. (This is blizzlike, and a common practice on many private realms.)

But yeah, ignoring that, go alliance. More PVE minded players, better PVE racials for many classes.

Alliance is best for pve and pvp.
