Official stance on Exploring?

Hello Nostalrius GMs,

first of all I'd like to ask where I can find the official server rules. I tried the forum search but could not find a specific thread dedicated to the rules.

To my specific question: What is the official stance on exploring? To give you a brief background, I'm an old-school explorer, I like to get places that are not supposed to be reached like the GM Island etc etc. Since getting to those places does not give me any advantage nor influences other ppls' gameplay I would like to know if exploring is a BANnable offense on Nolstalrius. Certainly hope not.

Thanks

Seminko

You are allowed to explore places you can go with out hacking but do not enter GM Island.

Does this include places that aren't meant to be explored, like the place where both heralds on AV reside? What if I chose to go to horde camp and kill their herald?

I can go to the GM Island without hacks. So what is the difference? I know there was a rumor about a vendor back in the day. Is that why? If not, could you please ellaborate why other places are ok but GM Island is not? Thanks

Herald wasn't visible in retail.

Oh Semiko...

In the middle of GM Island, there's a giant pile of gold that you can click on. So you can see, obviously they don't want this informaton getting out.

Yet to be banned. We made a ticket when we got there and got the same answer as the one posted in this thread.

Unless they fixed it, heralds are taggable through /target herald and were killable at some point. I remember a UD rogue entered ally base and killed the herald before getting killed, we got no yells from him. The herald on ally side is very easy to reach and requires no clever use of game mechanics.

As long as you don't exploit, yesterday I was offering summons to Hyjal and even made this peaceful video.

Maybe because thats where the game masters reside when they answer your tickets, so they can do so in peace? Otherwise, because he said so.
Also, how exactly do you get there without hacks? Lol
