Not being able to talk in general chat?

Okay so apperently I can't talk in the general chat anymore... This happened when I tried to accept the quest Samophlange in the Barrens (Last in the chain). I obtained the key from the goblin, turned in that quest at the console and tried to accept the last (the one where you have to return to Rachet. It told me I "wasn't eligble" for the quest and I didn't get it. Now I can't access the console anymore and when I type /1 (spacebar) it doesn't take me to the general chat, but just shows /1 (space) in my typing bar...

Can anybody clear this up for me?

Happened to me before, just relog and it would be fixed.

After I leveled up 1 level it got accesible again, seems my low level was the problem. All fixed now

I had a similar problem, a re log didn't work for me, but a full client restart did.
