Transferring gold or items?

by qweefer09 » Fri Oct 16, 2015 5:17 pm

Hello ,
So I'm curious in how to transfer items or gold from your main to your alt legally. Or from your horde char to your alliance char. Under the server rules it says you are allowed to have 2 accounts logged in for trading and for professions how ever you just can't level each other.

Is there a way to do this that will not be looked at like I'm selling gold or items? I really don't want to get banned for giving my alt gold or items.

You...send mail to your alt?

You'd have to use the neutral AH, but there are many people that camp the neutral AH and "snipe" items from people who try to transfer stuff cross-faction.

which is why you post something at an insanely high price, to xfer the gold (make the post on the alt, buy on the main with the gold) and for items, well theres no good reason, just sell it and buy it on the new side

I know I could mail it. Bit if I mailed 200g. Wouldn't that look like I'm selling gold ?

i mail gold between my accs all the time, never had an issue. most of the people "mailing gold to a friend" and getting banned in support forums are the same people with little bros playing their accs when botting.

No, not really. You're mailing to a character that is flagged as being owned by the same account. It won't auto-flag your account for suspicious actions. At least it shouldn't.

But would it flag if I mailed it from one of accounts to another one of my accounts? I mean if I sent a couple hundred gold in the mail from one account to the other I could see how that would look like gold selling.

You'll be fine as long as you don't buy or sell gold.

People have been banned due to false positives like this before. I solve this issue by only having one account and not moving things cross-faction.

That's a good idea! Just wish there was a direct answer from NOST staff. I'll ask in game and see what the GM's say.
