How do you do it?

How can there still be enjoyment in this game, in which you've done everything time and time again?
How can you still lvl through the same old outdated Azeroth, doing the same old quests that give stupid green items like 1h axes with spirit stats. It just boggles my mind how can thousands upon thousands of players waste their time grinding in a 2004 outdated game that clearly is stopping at a patch and not moving forward.

I'm not hating, Im just wandering what joy is there in vanilla anymore? Been there done that?

Done everything time and time again?

Everything changed between expansions. I doubt anybody here has done every bit of vanilla content over and over again. If they have, then your point stands.

I enjoy it because I haven't done everything. I kinda feel like a noob. Some will say I am.

How do you play through your favourite game again?
Because you still enjoy playing it.
This isn't rocket science. The same thing applies here.

I've probably played God Hand for 400+ hours, and that game is only like a 6-7 hour duration if you know what you're doing. It's the best combat system ever made, tightest controls ever made in a video game, infinitely fun, and endlessly hard to master because of its' constant scaling difficulty.
Why why the hell would I not play something through time and time again as long as I still love doing it?

I thought this was common sense. :D

I personally wonder what's the point for someone to join a forum that speaks of something he dislike, and to challenge people about their tastes.

'm not hating, Im just wandering what is the fun in it? Is it a try to launch a troll?

Why do companies make there fortunes on selling movies? When you buy a movie, you usually intend on watching in multiple times or else you would just rent it.

The community is what makes it more exciting for me. Just hanging out in a vent, TS3, mumble, etc. talking about whatever you want. It's fun, and vanilla is the experience that has brought us together... Plus I haven't done this content in 8+ years, it's not exactly old hat yet.

WoW's glory days was in TBC and Wotlk, you don't recognize this because of your blind fanboysim to vanilla

For me the only joy and fun I would have in vanilla is the world pvp, without flying mounts, true wpvp.

Nostalgia, a feeling of accomplishment (Level 60 is something you earn, not something you get by showing up), and, for me, an amused feeling of how much timesink is involved in the way Vanilla WoW did things compared to modern MMOs.

Nostalgia is the biggest pull for me. It's like being able to date that girl from high school again but say all the right things this time. Or it's like doing your favorite drug that's no longer available anywhere else. One of those.
