[H] Watch out for the "scam" wizard/mana oils

I see people buy these items all the time, oils with only 1 charge left, people look for the cheap one, but in fact they pay 300% or more of price.

Watch out guys, and dont let these people fool you. Its funny to see its also raiders who do it, and put their names up on the AH.

This also happens with bullets. People just throw up 1 round by itself. But I bet this scam has become less common or successful since the release of AV. Since AV released, thorium ammo is obsolete. There's not much reason to even craft it anymore except to skill build your engineering to 300.

I think most people dont use this addon. It seems like these items sell on a large scale. Just wanted to bring attention to it, so more dont get to their raid with less charges and they expected.

Ice Threaded Bullet: 16.5 DPS

Thorium Shells: 17.5 DPS

Where does if show the charges left?

If you hover over a mana oil with 2 or more charges remaining, it says "X Charges" right above the <Made by player> tag.

A mana oil with only 1 charge left doesn't say anything, exactly as in OP's screenshot.

Maybe not "obsolete", but certainly a lot easier to just buy ammo from a vendor instead of crafting it, and it's only 1 dps lower; negligible difference.

I used to do this on Scriptcraft.

The reason this is so popular is because they sell reliably and quickly.

People don't look to see why your listing is 1g lower than the others.

I also think the same wizard oils are circulating, so people who made the mistake relist the item.
