Sure, blaming Russians is stupid and I'm not. If there's a way to intentionally crash the server, people will do it for profit, has nothing to do with ethnicity.
What's more questionable is putting the event that has proven to be a problem child up again in, what seems like a naive belief that people will ignore the NPC and I seriously doubt that this is the case.
Testing stability after a fix is more likely, but there's the PTR for that I thought and if all it requires to crash the server is talking to an NPC then this should be replicatable with very few people instead of using the PvP server as a testing environment. Then again I haven't played on the PTR so maybe they did test it there, I have no idea.
In the end flooding the forum with angry topics, although great popcorn material, is about as helpful as having the NPCs back in the game...
