Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I love how I'm leveling up and really having nostalgia on little moments I didn't think I'd remember.

The flight path system, the world pvp, even the zones like Tanaris/Feralas making me nostalgia hard. Also, I love seeing old items (like BoEs) that are no longer in retail that I see in game.

Re discovering the musics was fantastic. Really loved the zones you mentioned, too.

I got most of the nostalgia out of my system playing on Emerald Dream last year. But the experience on Nost stands out to me because of the much higher quality, particularly lvl 1-30 which was flawless from what I could tell. It was obvious to me that the devs here did a lot of preparation on the lower level zones prior to going live.

EDIT: The best part about Nost was the availability of players to group up with in every single zone while I was leveling. Not sure how much longer it's going to be that way but It was great finding people for all the group quests. So much of what made Vanilla a fun time was the challenge of group quests & finding other players willing to do this stuff while leveling really brought back some good memories.

The simple feeling of accomplishment when completing a quest, gaining a level, reaching exalted with a faction or getting a new item. This feeling just doesn't exist in present day MMO's.

Barrens chat. My eyes have started bleeding again, so that's great.
Other than that, the music and how it made the zones so amasing; like getting lost at some troll ruins deep in the jungle, trying to tame a skeleton at a scary castle, or wandering the deserts!
So many memories

For me it was seeing all of the zones like they were before Cataclysm. That and the wonderful music (though retail has some nice music too).
