Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I have searched the forums and can't find the answer so here I am.

When I raided in retail vanilla our system was DKP through an external guild website in which the guild or class leaders would manually enter that you were present for whatever raid and if you spent points.

Is DKP still the system of choice? If so, is there a more efficient way that raiding guild use it now, like through an addon or a different style of website where things are automated and less likely to be tampered with?

I have no doubt that class leaders and guild officers added extra points to themselves back then, as you could only see your own dkp through the portal. Is this still happening 10 years on?

lots of guilds use dkp and lots of guilds use loot council and some guilds use some other system

DKP, lootcouncil or a mix of the two seems to be the common ones.

loot council = a council of players decides who gets what loot. depending on raid performance, guild activity and upgrade to current item and more

if you're asking me still the best system available

My guild (on another server) has been using EP/GP as a loot system for over 2 years and it's worked just fine.
