rare spawn timers

to keep a long story short, I've been camping a rare spawn which according to db.vanillawowgaming.org has a 12 hour spawn timer. however, a guy i know has been camping it for days 9 hours a day and never saw it. last night, another person i know found the mob and tamed it (at about 7 AM server time), but 12 hours later (about 7 PM server time), it still didn't spawn. what gives? do i have to do anything else to force this mob to spawn?

lupos respawn is also different than stated on some db sites

Don't even bother. The rares respawn each time at server start, so the timers are obviously screwed. Save yourself the time and move on

anyone know if only a certain number of rares can be spawned at one time? i.e. do i need to kill other rares in kalimdor to force this one to spawn

Takk the Leaper just spawned and I finally got him. 15 hours to respawn it looks like
