They are simply making an offer. You have the choice to make use of the offer or not.

That's not GDKP. That's them downright selling the items. But it doesn't matter. Neither are prohibited. Just don't go to their runs or join their guild if you don't like it. It's not much different than reserved runs, another thing you don't have to go to. This is actually smart since any raid purple is easily worth more than the shard it would disenchant into. It basically goes to the toilet if it's sharded. I really wish T1 was fully tradable... along with the blue tier sets.

From what I've seen in the ToU, in-game gold for in-game services is generally allowed. How is it different from someone putting something in the AH that you can buy for 200g? Or advertising Hide of the Wild in trade chat?

What he linked also isn't GDKP, just straight up buying the item, no competition like GDKP which is bids.

I remember paying 5,000G for my T8 shoulders. And what a bargain that was -- Druid T8 so pretty.

It starts like this, players thinking "oh shit i need gold to gear up if im guildless", then they spend irl money buying gold sooner or later the prices of tier 2 goes up, prices of other loots goes up. The guilds with flush the market with the shit ton of gold they earn which will lead in them purchasing shit from china/russian farmers and the cycle will be endless.

Having said that,if you don't like it, don't participate. The economy isn't being ruined by GDKP, it's being ruined by gold sellers. Nost does a pretty good job for a private server to keep gold sellers to a minimum. I'm sure if you feel that strongly about it, you could volunteer your time to help the Nost staff control those gold sellers.
