Post rank 6 you can only earn (max) 150% of a rank. So in theory if you're 50% into rank 7 and earn the RP you can be r8 next week.

About 30k, give or take. If you can't get that much, just kill between 15 - 25 people for the week and your rank will freeze. :)

10% R6 is 20500 RP, 50% R7 is 27500. Add in the decay from your current rank and you will need about 11100 RP to get halfway to R8.
11100 RP is bracket 2, which means top 30'ish standing or so.
