Multi/Dualboxing allowed or not?

Hi guys. So I used the search function but it didn't comply as I searched for previous posts.
I have seen a few threads about it but I feel like the answer I got was diverse/unclear.

So is it allowed? If yes, where is the line drawn?

#1 'trading' purposes

#2 boosting from another account.

#3 using more than two characters

#4 using 'illegal' programs to perform multiboxing.

VI. Multiboxing
Multiboxing refers to playing multiple characters simultaneously. This can either be achieved by using multiple machines to run the Game or by running multiple instances of the Game. The following rules are not meant to be exhaustive, and using multiple characters to level, farm reputation, run dungeons, do raids and/or engage in PVP is considered Multiboxing. Each case of Multiboxing will be judged individually and thoroughly. There are a few specific situations where you may have two characters in-game simultaneously:

Transferring items between accounts;
Using professions, as long as no farming or material gathering is involved;
Crafting, enchanting, banking and/or for trading purposes that does not include the Auction House.

If you still have trouble understanding that, well it is always free to make another account if your first one is banned over a "misunderstanding".

If you read Bioness' post, you would have seen that he directly quoted the Terms of Use, which he also said was linked from the main site. In case you actually want to read it, it is here:

I highly recommend you do so, as there are plenty of things that are allowed/tolerated on retail which are considered major offenses here.

Ok I have read about the Multiboxing.
What I wonder is about this 'The only thing we allow multiple characters for, is professions and banking, this means you cannot /follow level 2 characters at once.'
Professions as in crafting only and not gathering? Because if gathering, using two separate clients and accounts could technically be considered multiboxing only you're focusing at one task at a time.
If that is correct and allowed, my next question would be, why would not powerboosting be allowed?
