So the new "norm" for tanks is to only run the dungeon if they get all BOE's. While this may seem like its easier for you to get a tank now, it wont change anything (the amount of time it takes to get a tank) in the long run. Very soon, if not already, every tank will expect this and there will not be a single dungeon run where the BOE's are fair game. Bringing you back full circle to spending the same amount of time to find a tank, and it's expected that they get the items.

Obviously they have a specific role that can only be met by a single class, Warrior (Insert argument about druid tanks). In my opinion this is just another side affect of retail WoW spilling over to Nostalrius and we as a community need to nip it in the butt before it gets out of hand.
By all means it is my/your right to not group with these tanks and to keep looking, and it's what I choose to do. (Same thing for groups that reserved items)

Worst thing about this is it's community driven.

most tanks become selfish pricks once they join a raid guild caus the guild will give them all the tank gear they can ever dream of.

Henkebenke does this, joins a dungeon and once he is inside the instance he throws a fit about everyone should pass the BoEs to him.

seeing "tanks" (read: complete shitternerds who just happen to play warrior) yell this all day in /world is just an easy way to avoid running dungeons with scrubs.

So don't run with these tanks. I've never paid a tank to do a run or given them all the drops. The most I've ever done is let them have AD tokens or DM E veins(on my non miner character).

I bet you're looking forward to all the ZG pugs where mounts + idol are reserved.

Did this all the time. If you want a run done at a breakneck pace with zero wipes, you can cough up a few greens that drop during the run, or pay the fee. Otherwise you can wait even longer for some slapdick who thinks healers are OOM at 75% mana.

If I ain't gettin gear out of that place, I'm gettin dem dollar bills.

Just because the player is a loot wh0re doesn't mean they are any good. Are they tanking for a reputable guild? If so, chances are they have little interest in running 5-man's, and if they are it's only a way to farm gold at your expense.
