Can't decide what healing class to go with

Im new to healing in vanilla wow, i decided i want something different after playing fury dps on vanillagaming for 4 months so i decided id try healing. I want to try a fill whatever roll is needed most and i heard there is a lack of druid healers. The thing is i hear that its difficult to be a resto druid in vanilla and that priest is the better route to go. Can i get some advice on this?

Probably troll, but that's really inaccurate.

Anyway, priests are the "best" for straight up raw healing. Druids are interesting... some fights they are really strong; mostly fights where you can roll rejuv on the raid (mag, firemaw, decent on vael). Their big problem is that healing touch is really bad, but necessary to use a lot. Pallies are kinda like priests but more mana efficient. They can flash of light for a long long time and not OOM, even without mana pots. IF you want to show up to raids with no consumables, pally is your class. I'm partly joking on that point, but I think it's basically true. They still play an important role of course.

It would probably be hard to know what you'd like before you try it; safest bet is priest though. Druid is probably the most challenging, because you don't have anything like flash heal / flash of light. I've played a ton of vanilla priest, but if I had to play something else, i'd be druid for sure.

I don't typically play horde so I won't comment on shaman.

yes, you've probably never tried it, but it's an actual thing. you can get very high hps in those situations.

[Setup]

Druid: Boring as fuck (imo) and not very good until AQ40+ gear, but once you're there, incredibly powerful healer. Easy to gear out and join guilds with since it's not a popular class.

Paladins.
Pros: No mana problems, lifesavers with BoP, freedom and bubble, strong raid healing, cheap dispels.
Cons: Spamming FoL the entire raid, keeping up 15minute buffs.

Druids.
Pros: Not a lot of mana issues, strong HoTs, very strong single target heal with HT, combat ress, cheap buffs, can decurse.
Cons: No normal ress, no fast casts, have a hard time pushing a lot of hps.

Priests.
Pros: Lots of different healing spells for situational use, strong fast heals, big AoE heals, shields, can push a lot of healing in a short time.
Cons: Some mana issues until 3/8 T2. Expensive buffs, very squishy, expensive dispeling.

Shamans.
Pros: Strong raid healing with the bext spell galaxy: chain heal, have a fast and a slow heal, totems are really great.
Cons: Keeping up totems which only last 2 minutes, mana issues.

Kezzik please don't spread false information regarding druid healing. You're obviously not familiar with the class.

Druid healing is pretty rad, we're using HT (rank 3, 4, 10), rejuv & sometimes regrowth. Add having to be on your toes for saving people with Nature's swiftness and you're looking at an entertaining class to raid as.
