Why you should NEVER host a PUG

by idoril » Sat Nov 28, 2015 12:38 am

Hi my ingame name is Veay, Guildmaster of <Apprime> (Alliance EU).

Today ~23:00 ST I decided to host an Onyxia PUG with the following message: "LFM Onyxia PUG, voicecom ts3, MS > OS, Deathbringer res /w me or /poke IF bridge." I got a group of 30 guys, joined teamspeak, wiped 2x, refilled raid to ~34 people and went in again. I was Raidleader and Masterlooter, 1 Holypala (Pallypower) + Hunter (marks) promoted.

What happened next makes me rather sad. We managed to get her down to 1%, however suddenly the entire raid disbanded. Shortly after, Onyxia died and we were all saved to the ID while being ported out of the raid. Quite confused I started inviting back as many people as I could. While Onyxia was lying in front of us (skinnable) some people in teamspeak /w went just beyond insane, screaming, insulting, you name it. Ofc /world was filled with Ninja accusations for the next 10 minutes, not to mention the vast amount of people whispering me very nice things in Capslock.

What I learned from this experience is the following:
- people make assumptions and judge you based on nothing than words and rumours and will get mad without ANY proof what actually happened
- do not host any PUGs on this bugged server

I am currently waiting for a Gamemaster to answer me ingame and tell me what actually happened. Meanwhile have fun whispering me, theres nothing more I can do than writing this.
Veay

PS: proof how fucked up this entire thing is: http://realmplayers.com/RaidStats/Fight ... 74&Fight=1 (it only shows a couple of people although we were over 30)
proof that the raid disbanded: http://c2n.me/3qXKyk3.png

I was on Davidelgnomo, my warlock, and I got kicked the first. All I can say is that the guy who kicked rest of raid members he had been promoted, and since the semi-pug was leadered by Veay, from "Apprime", and there were more members of the raid from same guild, I assume that the guy who fucked all of us were from your guild.

So you could easily understand why the rest of raid blamed into you and your guild. And which is more important, you couldnt have been kicked from raid because you were the leader... and promoted guys cant kick the leader. So, It's an evidence of your ninja loot plan.

a) you were not kicked first, it was actually me and everyone else at the same time (see screenshot)
b) the only reason why Hechicero was promoted to leader is that he was slot 2 in group one, so after me (I was slot 1)
c) please provide legit proof before making such stupid accusations, thank you

if everyone is kicked and the promoted guy leaves the party the raid leader is "kicked" as well

Although the whole raid disbanding at 1% does seem conspicuous, I don't see why you or your guild would have done that and as a result I don't believe it was a setup. I mean, you reserved a weapon (Deathbringer, not Ironfoe) and all of u were fully equipped. Also, realmplayers doesn't note any loot.

Would be nice if GM's could reset the players involved in Raid 43200, since we lost our attempt. Highly doubt it tho.

But ppl need to chill

shit happens, if ppl are gonna rage about some virtual crap they lost in a pug raid due to accident - let them.

I'm not saying I wouldn't assume its a ninja attempt, would probably whisper you with "wtf, why am i kicked"... but eventually I'd be like " /shrug, fuk it...."

It's a game after all, you will have gazillion of chances to get that boss down again :P
