Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

By the looks of it, things are going very wrong on the PVP realm right now. Just started leveling herbalism a few days ago and I've been very discouraged by everyone saying I won't be able to find ANY higher level herbs due to mass farming. So I started thinking... The unthinkable pretty much. Re-rolling on the PVE server. Ugh... No world PVP/possibility of getting ganked (yes some people actualy enjoy it), having to wait in a queue each time I wanna play and worst of all I'll have to leave behind a lvl 48 character. Reason why I'm making this discussion is I want to hear what some other people arround my level think. Is there any chance for things to get better at this point? Should I stay or should I leave? I've already seen the negatives so anything positive that can be said is welcome.

okay im going to tell you 1 thing

the people who say that kind of shit are probably terrible at the game, and get crapped on when fighting for a herb. or they get to a herb 0.5 seconds after somebody else. then they bitch and moan on the forums because they are entitled pricks.

me for instance, I have been fishing in burning steppes, and every single time ive gone there I have found dreamfoil spawns along the way and got them uncontested. there are uncontested herbs everywhere.

Herbing has gotten much better in the last few weeks since they adjusted herb spawn rates. I've seen some of my guildies go from not being able to find 1 black lotus a day up to 12 a day. Stacks of mongoose have fallen from 50+g a stack to around 18g a stack. You will find the high level herbs just gotta farm for them.

I made 300g easy from farming herbs now. Like Glitterati said, the fixed it to be dynamic to the amount of people in a zone.

I went to get my MC essence water last night, got 12 sungrass, 10 dreamfoil and 3 silversage just 5 min of running the map.

Even when herbing was bad, I made my way. Find something else you can farm, and auction-house snipe what you need. While the high lvl herbs were hard to come by, mid level ones which are still needed for many of the tanking consumables I use were easy obtainable before the fix.

Don't let bad players who sit in IF/Org all day and complain they can't make money make your decision for you. Even if you are logged on to chat with guild, do it while fishing, or grinding wolf meat, anything will make you gold but sitting in capital jumping the squares for fun.

I found a black lotus in Winterspring and I don't even have herbalism. Someone paid me 15g for the location. It sat there for at least 5 minutes after I saw it, so the herbs can't be that heavily farmed. I also was told I would never get Rich Thorium Veins because they're so heavily farmed and I had no problem in Un'Goro even before the dynamic respawns were implemented and I have had no problems getting them. I usually get ganked right after (level 58 warrior < *) but I can laugh all the way to the AH.

You shouldn't be farming herbs in the first place, that's what the Chinese are for . You should focus on maximizing your hourly which doesn't involve herbing.
