Dear Nostalrius GM's

Let me get this right... so YOU put a bugged quest NPC into the world, and people who probably didn't realize this was a bug got this loot (stop being so RUDE you know some of us never did any of these quests and didn't know it was a bug, I personally thought it was part of the patch as did MANY MANY OTHERS. Let's be real and acknowledge many of us see a yellow ? and run up thinking "Ooo a piece of candy" )... probably deleted or vendored their other items and replaced them with said quest items and now you expect us to delete them so we don't get banned for YOUR mistake?????? That is ridiculous. If I vendored them are you going to come take that money away from me????? Especially since now I have to REPLACE said gloves? Did you know the AH prices on cloth gloves has skyrocketed since this happened? Guess I should go to raid tonight with no gloves? It was YOUR screw up. Really MESSED UP to punish your player base for YOUR mistake. Are you going to restore the gloves to me I sold? Are you going to give me money to buy new gloves? It was your mistake, not MINE so I don't get why I am being punished. Such a bunch of BS. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I understand that you are just a group of human beings working on a project probably larger than you ever imagined.... but you need to stop punishing the community for YOUR screw ups. I have seen many GM posts about how it should have been an "obvious" bug. No. Many of us haven't been to Silithus to quest in a DECADE. Punishing players because of your mistake, while meanwhile actual exploiters go unpunished. GG Nost.

the fact that you leveld to 60 and did quests and never encountered a quest tha gave really really good blue rewards without you doing a damn thing just makes your entire argument invalid like if you htink for 3 seconds before pushing a button you should realize its not normal

You need to realize that I don't read quest text and pick up quests all the time. When I see a marker on my map I go turn in. It's not my responsibility to double check quests on a data base before turning in. Maybe if Nost could stop screwing up and then blaming and punishing players for DEVS mistakes this wouldnt be an issue.

You make it sound like they implemented that quest on purpose just to have an excuse for banning random people. It's a bug, and they are handling it like a bug should be before fixing it.
One out of 40 people are raiding without gloves? Oh how are we possibly gonna make it now

Actually Bow, I hadn't done the content in so long, that I assumed I had previously done a quest that had not yet had the reward implemented. So yea, perfectly plausible if you do think about it for more than 3 seconds bud.

Even in retail there is a rule where if you abuse in-game bugs/exploits, intentional or not, you may be subjected to sanctions against your account. It's all down to the discretion of the staff.

General rule is to question if something doesn't seem right, and to not abuse it.

to my knowledge players didn't even get banned for abusing one of the lottery APIs that made them immune to all attacks. it was simply fixed

Pretty sure they didn't say anyone would get banned, they just said the ToU would be enforced. Sounds like people are freaking out for no reason to me.

If you equip the items and use then, yes you might get a temp ban or something. If you picked up the items then went on vacation for 3 weeks and they are just sitting in your bags, I really don't think they will care to much.

This community get's worked up so easily, it's amazing that the GM's are able to control themselves. I would troll the SHIT out of you guys if I was a GM :P

I dunno, when GMs perma ban you for picking flowers or hitting a rock. I would be skeptical too.
everything must be recorded/screenshotted/deleted if you fear for your account safety every patch update.

Nostalrius staff may suspend or close any account if you violate, or assist others in violating, the sections set forth below

Abuse of in-game bugs;

V. Permanent ban
Abuse of major in-game bugs;

--> enforcing the rules means you will receive a final warning that will last for eternity.
Accidentally hitting complete on an other bugged quest or simply continuing to auto attack after a duel ended (see Finalflash) will then get you permanently banned.
