Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Are hunters pets supposed to be able to run at what seems like 500% speed for an indefinite amount of time? I understand there is a speed improvement talent and dash, but they don't seem to end? It makes hunters fairly OP in world pvp, but I'm not sure if this is supposed to be this?

Further, is it correct that if a pet/minion is sent to attack me, but I stealth before it arrives, it continues running towards me? It seems they just track wherever I've stealthed to, without hunters mark etc.

It is correct, unfortunately.

I don't know the Hunter class well so I can't tell you about your first issue, but the second one is definitely NOT a bug. It's a pain in the ass, but it is working as intended. If a pet is sent onto you before you stealth, then it'll folloow and attack you in stealth even if you're not marked or anything, the only way to get rid of the pet being Vanish.
