General unpleasantness?

I realize that talking about the following observation is kinda defeatist, but I'm going to do it anyway.

What is up with the unpleasantness on these forums? I do remember that being the general behavior on the official forums back in the day, but having been away from WoW since TBC, and having gotten use to other communities, I thought this type of thing was outgrown by veterans by now.

I'm by no means trying to point fingers, but I have been reading the forums the last couple of hours, on and off, and in every single thread, there is a sea of complaining, smartassery, and/or... general unpleasantness. Am I just catching the forum on a bad day, or is this what is to be expected by the general player?

Personally I don't remember the general forums, nor the realm forums, nor the class forums ever being like the forums are when it comes to private servers. It's just the community that has gotten worse.

Not true. I haven't seen anything like this since the old WoW days, which is why I had gotten forgotten it was even a thing, and its not the lack of activity on gaming forums.

There seem to be 3 groups:

1. Haters, from rival servers trying to spread false rumors
2. Fanboys, nomatter what this server does they'll defend it with their lives for no reason (crying blizzlike all day long but dont comment on none blizzlike things etc)
3. Normal people, who want a great server that will last for years. We post things that are not right and get jumped on by retarded fanboys.

It's what happens when people come different servers and expect the same game play as those servers here. Not trying to be a fanboy, but don't expect the same as where you came from because this server is different.

EDIT: Also, I believe that this will always happen in the private server scene because there is no set standard appart from what was vanilla years ago. People are used to variations of vanilla wow (custom content). As someone mentioned in some other post on the forum, once nostalgia fades away, some people will realize that vanilla truly did have some very inconvenient aspects of gameplay that were fixed in later expansions. I think the general unpleasantness ultimately stems from this basic fact.

I dont even come from another server idiot. They should deliver what THIS SERVER PROMISED, and that is NOT happening now.

Besides that vanilla wow is not a perfect game and needs improvements, since its already not blizzlike anymore better update some retarded things that even blizz fixed.

I dont, if that is what you are trying to say, find ANY post of me where I STARTED things. If people think they can threat people here the way they want to just because they dickride the server you are mistaken, I will defend myself in any way possible, "hate language" included. But only after Im severly insulted and disrepected first by you idiotic fanboys.
