Is healing lucrative?

by Sokar408 » Tue Mar 17, 2015 11:29 pm

Basically is it hard to find a healer in your opinion?

Been tempted to level a priest, but at the same time I'd love to play a hunter or mage :) (we are talking pre 60's)

EDIT: When I said lucrative, I meant as to how hard it would be find a group :)

What exactly do you mean by lucrative? I haven't been paid to heal any dungeons if thats what you mean (I'm a priest.)

To be honest I've seen more people asking for tanks than healers.

But you should have no problem finding groups as DPS or Healer anyway. It should not influence what you want to play.

Unless you can find someone to sell it to, no.

A tank is always in demand. Always. On Twisting Nether server back on retail geared tanks would charge large sums of gold in advance to tank pickup groups for LBRS, UBRS, and Dire Maul, and they would get it during the normal week days because players in small to medium guilds would want to get gear but their main tank players wouldn't be online.

Healers are a dime a dozen because if you have access to free healing, you have a huge advantage in solo leveling.

I honestly don't get why people say druids aren't good for leveling.

If you go half Balance and Half Resto, you'd be fine for leveling and dungeons.

How difficult is it for Tanks to find raid spots in vanilla? I'm often tempted to roll a tank, but am generally put off by the small amount of tank slots available. And I only played from TBC with 25 man raiding - Is'nt this even more of a problem with 40 mans?

I merely meant if going healer would mean finding groups would be easier then going some form of DPS :)
