alliance or horde, which faction one is better?

i know a lot of people will just say pick your favorite, it doesn't matter, ect.
but it's been a month since the release and i wonder which one is better or more populated.

horde is more populated
45:55 according to the census reports i've seen. i think it could be more like 40:60 but that's just my vague impression.

40:55, 44:60 is actually a really healthy spread.
