OP has a good point... for some reason GMs are very quiet in the General Discussion forum. 1 or 2 official replies would stop these speculation posts from blowing up

it usually isn't a GM's place to make official statements regarding community wide concerns. Normally it takes a dev or some sort of community manager.

Expect a near future administrative announcement.
