Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Now, some of us (including myself) have some gripes, but in general, Nostalrius has been doing a good job improving the server every day. They work hard, the staff is responsive (maybe not publicly all of the time), and are doing fine in their duties. We grow in many ways each passing day.

The forum community here is not properly appreciating their work and time. I'm looking at the front page of the General Discussion forum and all I see is complaining about how "Ragnaros stopped using ranged attacks for 1 reset, the world is over," and "I laugh at you for introducing prenerf/buff items." It all sickens me!

I think you need to quit being assholes, because the developers do this all for free, out of kindness. They could be shown some more appreciation. They could just say "we quit, you aren't appreciative enough."

So let's take some time to appreciate it and give them a thank you!

Agreed. We act as though we are OWED something from the devs. Not true, they owe us nothing.

However, we owe it to both them and ourselves to tell them when something isn't right. If we feel a boss fight is in need of fixing, we have to tell them. We don't need to be buffoons about it, though. Unfortunately that's all some of us know how to be...

And hey, shoutout to all the nice people that exist on the server as well! They often get hidden under the crying about gankers and griefers and exploiters and other scum. Not a single mage has made snide comments about providing water to me, every mage, pally and druid has buffed me when I run past. Ad-hod parties at quest zones form up nicely and vast majority of people are kind enough to stick around even if they are finished with their quest. In instances, if I - as a healer - manage to steal aggro, I've seen the DPS guys happily rush to help to get mobs off of me, sometimes even sacrificing themselves in the process. You guys rock!
