SafeSpotting - Please don't troll - Open Discussion.
Posted: Fri Mar 27, 2015 10:43 pmSo recently I was told that in 2005 Blizzard would of allowed safespotting, and that proof should be provided to show that it would otherwise not be allowed.
Now the only "Proof" I could find, would be my reference to their generalized policy, maybe making it subjective to the current responding GMs opinion on the matter.
These are the posted "Rules related to the game" out of the world of warcraft ToS
(i) Using or exploiting errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or "program bugs" to gain access that is otherwise not available, or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players;
(ii) Conduct prohibited by the EULA or elsewhere in these Terms of Use; and
(iii) Anything that Blizzard considers contrary to the "essence" of the Game.
I'd like an open discussion on what you guys have an opinion on for this. Thank you.
So far the best we have for "Proof" that is against the rules is as follows:
ubject: Clarification on Rooftop Camping
There has been some confusion in regards to whether or not the act of "rooftop camping", or killing players while using geometry to avoid the town guards, is allowed. We will no longer condone this act in game. Players who participate in this method of PvP will be given a warning and educated on this new policy, and further action will be taken as circumstances warrant. We wish to provide a fair playing field to our customers, and this abuse of game mechanics has been hampering that effort.
