Classes rework

by Mahuiztaccihuatl » Thu Apr 02, 2015 1:03 pm

hi guys, apologies if this has been asked before, but im just wondering whether the devs will ever fix up some of the classes/specs abandoned by blizzard (like prot pally or enh shaman)? i know this is supposed to be as blizzlike as possible but it seems a bit of a waste to have specs that are essentially non existent, and could really open up some interesting possibilities (shaman tanks perhaps?)

I can't imagine them ever doing this since their goal is to get things working as close to Vanilla retail as possible....

The problem, while I think it would be cool, is that then you have to balance other aspects of the game along with it. In many ways a lot of specs that aren't used in high end raiding such as boomkin is because of itemization. Boomkin is decent once they get gear but their mana just drops so fast for raids though it can be said that it works in PVP (a caster with decent utility and burst).

That's called The Burning Crusade. All specs are viable if you know what you're doing and everyone has a role, some people are just set in their ways though.

yeah, having a pvp centric spec and a pve centric spec isnt a bad thing, but having specs that are pretty useless in both is a shame tbh. i think instances would be more interesting if the tanks alone were closer to how they were in BC
