What's with the elusive, disappearing Troll on the wyvern?

As anyone else seen this? I've seen it several times. It's a troll, with blonde hair, on a wyvern, hovering just above the ground that disappears just after i see it ha. I saw it first in Tirisfal i think and i'm continuing to see it in the Barrens.

I've never seen this troll, but I saw a wyvern flying around at Thousand Needles, as I showed in the following post:

I've seen it a couple more times now, and was actually an orc and tauren once each. I managed to target one to see the name so i could /who and they were not where i could see them. My thoughts is that they are passing players on a flight path but are showing up at ground level and that it was just coincidence that the first several instances of it was a Troll character... which i've actually seen again (i will be having nightmares of that Troll! ha )

This is a bug. The appearing character is actually flying on his flightpath. This bug is kinda blizzlike as I've seen it till wotlk in retail (not as often as here but still a decent amount of times)

I've seen it a few times in thousand needles. Very weird. I just catch a momentary glimpse before it vanishes.
