Last time i checked horde had some veeery slight advantage( like a few percent) in population.
I rolled alliance first.Later, decided it was not worth it and rerolled horde.
From my experience, people i met while playing alliance are much more friendly and overall more likeable to me.
I almost feel sorry at times for rerolling because of those people i met.
However horde has better racials,so i told myself that while racials don't really matter in vanilla, if the server eventually(even if it takes years) allows to move characters to TBC,i would want to do arena with the more competitive races for PvP.
If you spend so much time building a character you want that to last don't you?
I find hordes a bit more selfish tbh and sometimes openly annoying.
BUT...there is a big BUT(T) in here!
If you intend to play as an alliance ,it's going to be a living nightmare to quest or grind in zones like STV.
Hordes totally dominate all PvP related areas of the game.
I joined at lvl 39 to grind some BGs for a PvP trinket.(Not a twink).
For a few days we won easily every 9 out 10 BGs and i hope the situation will stay the same at high levels.
If you want to PvP roll horde, the large BG queues do not seem to be problem as expected.
If you want PvE go alliance, paladins alone make them the better faction for that aspect of the game.
