what got you interested in WOW?

I know for me it was the thought of raiding with a random group of people from all over the world. Just the thought of such teamwork from a group of people you may never meet was incredible. Aside from that I liked quest lines and exploring new areas every few levels, it wasn't just grinding levels. So tell me , what got you interested?

Back in the day I had a group of friends and we would go eat out every tuesday night and go to the movies. (tuesday because it was cheaper and we were younger and poor) Once upon a time they started talking about this new Warcraft game. Next week they kept talking. and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking

THEY WOULD NEVER SHUT UP or talk about something else.

so after 5 weeks I gave up and bought the game. (Actually I had to wait 10 more days because at that time it was sold out everywhere and you couldn;t just buy an online copy you needed a physical copy)

i had a few friends who told me i HAD to play this game, first time i did 10 day trial and i didn't even like it.
but that was because i was playing alone and didnt understand anything, 2nd time around we lvld together and i never quit again.
