Beta test extended!

Hello, so i guess you are waiting for more people to find about this server untill the official launch, but why not put this server on test untill more people find out about it, that way u can work on some bugs that will come along playing here, and u can fix them before launch... now how does that sound?

lol, that means throw it out within the next 3 days? I'd think it might be better to wait until Warlords cool off a bit, for those out there that still plays on retail as well as vanilla.
Also Roflman87, do you really want to invest time in a beta with a few other people now when your characters are going to be wiped once it launches anyway? In that case you could play on some decently scripted, smaller private servers that are already out there, like WoW-ascension for example. It's something to do until Nostalrius and Kronos comes out at least. That being said, I think its nice that you wanna help out and test the server to report the bugs you find and so on.

Well i think this server should release before Kronos, or else it will split the population for those who are looking for blizzlike vanilla Pservers.

do you really want to invest time in a beta with a few other people now when your characters are going to be wiped once it launches anyway?

and one more thing, if this server goes to beta i think its gonna get good advertisement from people that play it, they can stream they can make youtube videos, and beside there is not a sing private server out there that is bug free like this one, i think they should release it or atleast for public test before CC and Kronos are out, Nostalrius got the winning card here!

It has already been tested by us during a few months. And we, beta testers, want to play on this server.
We don't need this server to turn into another beta server anymore...

I know, i want it to release also, but what im saying is to put this server on beta test coz devs dont want to release it, untill its populated, then they can release it, i think its much better like that...

I also think that they should release before Kronos if they want to succeed, no question about that. Im just very skeptic to the beta test thing personally. After 4 years i'd think they have come pretty far by now, so i would rather have them launch it directly. Question is when. This whole "waiting for enough players to release" i dont get tho. You shouldnt release something thats buggy, obviously, but if its done, why not? How do they know when there are enough players? By looking at forum population? Thats not the best indication. People come in waves and if they wait to long they eventually start to loose interest, alternativly jump to Kronos if they release first. Exact same thing goes for Kronos ofc.

I am eager to play as much as anyone else, but restarting beta doesn't really make sense, unless it was some sort of head start where we got to keep our characters (and in that case, it's effectively release)

Assuming the content is done, I do agree that they should go ahead and launch sooner rather than later. It really has to get out before Kronos if it wants to succeed.

Kronos is launching in as little as 5 weeks, if Nostalrius launched now we'd pull plenty of people over, because honestly most people are just waiting for a good truly blizzlike server, they aren't married to Kronos specifically. That would give people a full 4-5 weeks to invest in their character (making the jump over to Kronos when it launches that much harder). If they launch too close together, it's a lot easier to give up a character you've only played for a week to try out Kronos.

I agree that which ever one releases first might be the more successful server, I for one will be joining the server that opens first and more than likely staying on that one.

Seems odd that if they do have the content ready, why hold off? Why not promote the server and prepare for a release date?
