With the release of Nostalrius ...

... what are we going to see?

Lately there has been many test sessions on this server, including PvP, PvE and a hack session. Not really that expansive, but alright. What we saw was a core at an almost default state. Many abilities in all classes were heavily bugged or flat out not working (eg. Sentry Totem), dungeons and raids were not scripted, game mechanics were not present or fully optimized. There was NPCs critting with spells, sheep/fear pathing was bad (something which they actually boasted to have fixed in a video, so I have no idea if that video is legit or not), pets attacking their master, mobs constantly evading, mobs running through walls, server stability REALLY awful (again contrary to their claims in their videos); they had literally despawned every NPC in the entire world to cope with the measly amount of players which showed up for testing phases, or else they'd crash constantly. And the list sadly goes on.

And now, we're presented with that the server is to release the 28th of february - only two weeks away. To me, that's sort of a joke.

I'm a classic lover like all the rest of you, and I know how the promise of good things can cloud the mind, but this is just getting sort of ridiculous.

So, my question is to you: What do you think we're going to see at release, based on what we've seen so far?

Constant DDOS, game unplayable for the first week or two, possibly into late march.

We'll see how they handle it.

I meant content wise though. Core wise :)

Ah, Sentry Totem is broken? Damn!

On a serious note, I hope that devs will either make a couple of open PvE test sessions for, say, 1-60 quests (I know we had "the last session", but still...it won´t hurt) or spend part of remaining weeks testing/fixing it in closed ones.

I share the same opinion as Azalus does in the topic a few below this one. I'm a bit skeptical on how everything, dungeons, 1-60, and raids will pan out given the amount of fixing they've done since betas have gone public.

That being said though, the server could be as poorly scripted as RB last year and I'd still play on it so long as it was stable and had over 1000+ players.

I would be fine with around 500+. Playing on vengeance was depressing.

Guys, is this all true??? Like in the latest test sessions?

I wasn't here to play any tests, I'm sad if this is true. I thought their game was polished.

*pets atking master
fixed

*mobs evading
idk

*mobs running through walls
never encountered this. i found it to be perfect (by their final test)

*despawned all NPCs for test
they were just reworking them. they were reimplemented in the last session, and were fine

*abilities not working
The class scripting is one of its good points.. maybe me and my friends didn't play your class or something.

*sheep/fear pathing
worked perfectly for me

*server crashing
yep, it was crashing. it was instant, so it was user created. i'd assume that they'll fix those
