A sign of desperation?

Just saw this on the Kronos forum. It was posted by filvorja, a member of the Kronos team.

"The way I see it, people care so much that they actually express their concerns openly.
Why do you think people open topic about this here? Cause they want us to react. Does this not imply they would rather see releasing?

There will be an announcement on sunday I am pretty sure you are going to like it."

Ever since the announcement for a release date on Nostalrius, the Kronos forums have been rampant with comments such as "release before nos", "release soon or you'll lose players", and other such remarks.

This comment by filvorja may be the answer to those prayers. Now I know that this is purely speculation, but could this be a sign of desperation by the Kronos team?

I'm not following your logic.

Desperation how?

I think you're just trying to stir up drama.

Just wanna add to Ironsides's words here... Yeah, surviving through DDOS bombardment is one of the biggest elements to any server surviving at all.
I've played on many privates before and at some point there has been weeks, if not months, where constant DDOS was a major issue for everyone involved.

I wish the people that DDOS, and those that pay others to DDOS, would just stop and become decent human beings and not be such douchebags and insensitive towards others hard work and enjoyment for their own benefits or most of the times, for no benefits at all except their own vicarious enjoyment.

But that's a naive wish at best. That will never happen in this world we live in, unfortunately.
So you gotta put up with that shit. DDOS protections are of the utmost importance and should never be counted out of possibility at any time, no matter how good you think your DDOS protection is.
Because when they go boom, they really go boom sometimes. And the shitfest it brings makes me sad to see what they can do to the community and how fast they affect people's enjoyment.

"Best" server doesn't always mean best scripts. Rebirth's scripts are better than Feenix's. They just can't get their house in order and keep the server online and their population is nothing because they don't do any advertising.

Part of being the best private vanilla server in 2015 is keeping the server up in the face of DDOS attacks.

hah :D,
It doesnt matter how good server you have, if its constantly under attack and players cant connect to it, none will care...

The Rebirth, sorry to say, but was a huge pile of crap.
...hell, you could autoshot while drinking....
So, your argument is invalid....and let's not mention the 3/8 BWL bosses available, for 2years (or more).

Also, sure, if you're constantly down, no chance of getting players....
...still, if your server sucks, noone will play there either.

Looks like we might finally be able to taste KronosĀ“s mysterious scripts !?

On a serious note, desperation, rush or whatever - I am not even a tiny bit worried about them as long as Nostalrius handles incoming DDOS well. That will probably be THE issue during launch or in upcoming months.
