Key to a large population

I really think the server should be opened as soon as possible if the quality of content is acceptable. Opening the server before Kronos would guarantee a larger population. Many people are just waiting for whatever comes out first and won't restart to another server after the first one comes out. Also its better advertisement if we can tell people just to log on and try the server.

If Kronos comes out first, but Nostalrius is much better, people will just start moving over here. If they wanted a crappy server, they wouldn't have left Emerald Dream in the first place. We have plenty of crappy servers already, most are ghost towns. We don't need another. What we need is a fully scripted one that actually plays like retail did, rather than a cheap buggy copy. People that care about release date will already be on a server. People that care about quality will pick the best one, regardless of when it came out. Kronos isn't even in the same country or area as Nostalrius is going to be.

The problem is Kronos and Nostalrius both look great. So Its probably going to be which comes out first for most people. As far as I'm aware, they have said all the scripts are done and they are just waiting on more subscribers. If that's the case they should release it. Releasing it will bring players.

The quality of the content is totally acceptable, it's already great. However we learned the hard way that population attracts more population... People tend to stay on any server if it has more activity, and since Kronos seems to be more advertised and waited for, I think the best chance would be to release before them, as there will indeed be less people playing on Kronos while it's... not open.

I think boomshaka has the right idea. Imo the servers of Nostalrius and kronos both look really good. However because we are talking 1x leveling rates i think that the server that comes out first and people make the first commitment leveling characters on will be the one to retain population

Yep, get this sucker open. Both servers look very promising so the one that launches first will have a significant advantage. And the sooner we launch, the longer people have to become invested in their character, making it that much harder to jump over to Kronos when it launches.
