Addon to save chat settings?

Addon to save chat settings?

by Tinkertown » Sat Sep 05, 2015 1:31 am

For some reason the client is notoriously bad at remembering what chat channels I'm in, what chat channels should be active in each chat window and the positioning of the chat windows. Is there an addon out there that actually saves these things and sets the chat to the correct settings on login/reload?

Is WoW installed under your C:\Program Files (x86) folder? Some people complain about settings, including chat, not saving after logout if this is how it's installed. If so, cut the WoW Classic folder and paste it directly on the C:\ so it runs from "C:\World of Warcraft Classic" instead. Then try logging in, changing chat settings, logging out, and seeing if they save at next login.

Well. I did that. And just now, when I logged in, I'm no longer in any custom channel. So, yeah, it didn't help. But I'm guessing that there is no addon out there designed to fix the chat.

Haven't had any problems with my chat
settings. You can try the addon Prat, and see if that suit your needs. But it sounds like there's some kind of problem with your client saving settings.

I've been running with and without Prat. Makes no difference either way. When I log in I'm randomly in world or not.
