Bean Counter?

Bean Counter?

by aryhn » Sun Sep 20, 2015 6:47 pm

Are there any versions of Bean Counter that work? I'm using the Auctioneer 3.9.0.1063 that someone fixed so it would record... but my Bean Counter (none of the iterations I've installed) won't work. It loads, but when I check my mail it says (0 recorded, 7 discrepancies) or something to that effect. I've tried 3.9.0.1000 and that hasn't worked, though I know it works for some people.

Ok, help me understand why Bean Counter isn't working/won't work on Nostalrius... I'm back to 3.9.0.1000 because none of the other versions were reliably recording auctions. Beancounter always says it's loaded, but when I check my mail, it says "0 auctions reconciled, x discrepancies". There's also no beancounter tab in my AH.

Is this something that can be changed in the .lua files, or is it a matter of needing data from the AH that we can't get?

Try to do a full reinstall of auctioneer and beancounter.
Go to your addon folder and delete: Auctioneer, Stubby, EnhTooltip, BeanCounter.

Install these:
http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/zzOld/Auc ... 0.1000.zip
http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/zzOld/Bea ... 0.1000.zip

Bonus - If you need informant and enchantrix:
http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/zzOld/Inf ... 0.1000.zip
http://auctioneeraddon.com/dl/zzOld/Enc ... 0.1000.zip

Working flawlessly for me. Even together with other addons like Aux and igors mass auction.

Coreborn, thank you so much for responding.
Maybe I'm just losing my marbles (don't need confirmation on that...)
Did a clean install of auctioneer and beancounter (deleted all the prior files associated) as you said, then installed the files you linked to. The path looks like
C:/World of Warcraft Classic/interface/addOns/Beancounter
C:/World of Warcraft Classic/interface/addOns/Auctioneer
C:/World of Warcraft Classic/interface/addOns/Informant
C:/World of Warcraft Classic/interface/addOns/EnhTooltip
etc and so on.

When I load the game, it says beancounter loaded, auctioneer loaded, informant loaded...

However, it still doesn't show "BeanCounter is checking your mail" nor is there a "Bean Counter" tab when I open the AH- The tabs I have are Browse, Bids, Auctions, Sell, Buy (Aux, I know) Search Auctions, Post Auctions, Transactions. In Transactions, it only shows things I've purchased, but it doesn't record sales, so the net is all in the red.

Is my path wrong, or am I just so accustomed to the newer incarnations of Auctioneer that I don't realize that this is what it looked like in Vanilla?

Alright, well that's good. Next thing though, is that when I have "sales" or "purchases" checked, nothing comes up. "Bids" and "Auctions" come up right away, though.
