On retail, i use lcurse, a free software for Linux (yes, i play under wine, i don't have Windows), for staying current with all my addons.
I there something like that for WoW vanilla ? I guess no, but that would be great :)

Hello, Altoholic. I'm very interested in running Nostalrius on Linux. May I ask you how it performs vs using Windows? If it works well for you, do you mind explaining how you installed it? What distro are you using? Doesn't need to be detailed, just what you're using (Wine via PlayOnLinux or installation through terminal) and how you installed the game files. Thanks!

Can't answer that one, because i don't have Windows.
Also, my computer is old (7 years), so i put everything in game on minimal. And that's ok (60 fps when i'm alone, drop to 30 in crowded places, or when traveling from place to place with lot of mobs).

I have simply taken the official Nostalrius client, and using the regular Wine of my distribution to install it.
Default parameters, no extra configuration, nothing fancy.
It works out the box.

What distro are you using?

Xubuntu LTS (it's 14.04, IIRC).
