Apparently schaka gave me access to the Questie Repository. I merged the fix this morning.

You can get the latest version here which now includes the fix: https://github.com/AeroScripts/QuestieD ... s/tag/v2.1

Is it possible to have the Questie tracker be optional? I use Extended Quest Log and I much prefer that tracker and I don't use the arrow mechanic that Questie provides with their tracker.

Can you submit a request here:
https://github.com/AeroScripts/QuestieDev/issues

That way I can assign it to myself to remind me to take a look at that code. Someone else asked if the quest tracker could look like MonkeyQuest. I kind of like the way it looks and I've also been kind of annoyed with how the QuestTracker shows quests. There are ones I'd like to turn off or hide from the active list. So I've been toying with a few ideas:

* Make the QuestTracker list seem more interesting - Theme/Skin based?
* Add ability to manually add or hide individual quests in the list without changing the way it's displayed now.
* I think adding a QuestTracker toggle shouldn't be too hard.
* Adding ability to right click any point on the map and assign a "Way Point" for the arrow.

The thing about the arrow is, that it currently picks the last unfinished object (or the finisher) by default. Has its own logic, so to say.

However, the 3.0 branch has everything working, except the tracker and arrow iirc. If you were to expand the tracker logic, you should probably do it there. The database is much better, the waypoint system is too and it requires less resources over all.

Hmmm... interesting point. Well, I can't promise or commit to anything but I'll review the source code and see what needs to be done to finish it.

Dyaxler,

Do you use EQL3? I updated to your new 2.1 version of Questie and since then I have erratic quest tracker behaviour and the arrow always points to the quest starter. I saw notes on github about this problem happening before but it was marked as fixed. I am wondering if its EQL3 not playing nice or if this is a new issue?

I only use EQL3 to get the quest levels. Is there any other way to get this info without using EQL3?

Thanks for your help!

Yes. I use EQL3 without issue.

I've started a new thread here:
https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=37830

I spent all morning reviewing the Questie 3.0 code. I'm not ashamed to admit that I simply don't have the coding expertise to add the missing QuestTracker and QuestArrow. The 2.0 versions both require heavy rewrites to leverage the new database architecture in 3.0. I tried for a couple of hours but there simply isn't enough comments in the code for me to figure something out and there isn't enough working examples for me to make logical conclusions as to how everything works together.

Instead I reviewed several user posts/suggestions and added a few improvements a fixed a few bugs in the 2.0 code base and released v2.3. Please use the new thread for any comments.
