Cartographer Add-on issue

Can't see my map in game. I accidentally re-sized the map out of the screen bounds and now I can't drag it back onto the screen or re-size it again. I'm using this cartographer http://www.vanilla-addons.com/dls/cartographer/

In your [characters name] directory you'll see a file called layout-cache.txt... open that and look for anything labeled Cartographer or World Map.

For example...

Find it and replace the X and Y cords with ZERO's and when you log back into the game it should be in the middle of your screen.

Guys I don't know what's wrong with my Cartographer, I got a recomended version with most downloads v2.0. Tried to delete WDB, WTF, didn't help.

I can't close my World Map by pressing ESC. Sometimes it work, but after a while it don't. Probably because of Questie addon, not sure. I works only if I set look n feel as active. But then my map is not fullscreen and I can see my action bars with skills, they breaks through the map, it bugs completely.

So if look n feel is disabled - I can't close World Map by ESC.
If look n feel is active - World Map frame collide with action bars etc. they breaks through the World Map.

So I can't use it without problems, please help. It worked fine before when I was using older version.

The only time ESC closes the Worldmap is when it's Key is bound to the System Menu. Check your keybindings.

I know that, I always have ESC assigned to system menu as it is by default. I said it worked before when I was using older version of addon. But yesterday I changed Cartographer to Cartographer v2.0 (with 2 additional folders Mining/Herbalism) and Questie from older version to latest 2.6.1. And all the problems began. What more, if I deactivate look n feel, I got a proper fullscreen map (with black strips on the sides). But if I make relog or just /reload ui it bugs up and activate look n feel map (without black strips) and I got my action bars on my map but there is no mark check on activate in look n feel panel anyway so wtf.

this is funny, two weeks ago i started to level an alt and faced exactly the same problem...
the strange part is - i leveled 2 other characters to lvl60 before and never had such problems...addons are exactly the same (no updates done)

The ESC functions dont work at all after some time, its not only the worldmap but also the game menu and window closing

Bah... you're right. But it's not Questie. It's Cartographer. I was still able to ESC the Worldmap without the keybind but I had to disable Cartographer to get it to work again. There is code in Questie to break the Worldmap from it's "full screen" container if you're not running Cartographer so you can see your Chat Output and quest chain step selection popup when you're manually completing quests but it's very simple code. There might be an option in there that I'm missing that breaks the ESC key. Might also be the issue with Cartographer too. I'll find that bug and squash it...

No promises but I'll also look into Cartographer's code and see if I can't find the bug and post how to fix your own copy. You'll have to hound the Addon author for an official fix. Questie doesn't modify the version of Cartographer that's out there. It's a separate mod.

Cartographer has many downloads, many players use it and looks like it's working for them somehow. It worked also for me before. Now I got more and more bugs, pet action bar dissapearing, new quest (yellow markers) on the map reset even if I took the quest or completed long time ago I still see it as available to pick, quest objectives don't showing on map after getting a new quest, I have to /rl ui to make them appear on the world map, same with pet bar. If I make the map fullscreen (with black sides) and do /rl it reset to default smaller cartographer map (not fullscreen). It's so fked up I even tried fresh client with default settings, deleting account settings, wtf, wdb folders and still nothing.

Edit. Even gathering professions mining/herbalism don't show on map, sweet. It's 99% cartographer problem cuz I disabled all other addons, but why it worked before and works for rest of people.

I didn't fix Cartographer but I fixed Questie which will make any map addon behave... the Esc key will now close the Worldmap no matter which map mod you're using and no matter what your keybindings are set to.
