My game just crashed as I moved the tracker.

Is the crash consistent or did it only happen once?

I have a bunch of binds tied to the shift key, but it hasn't happened since so I don't know what to make of it..

@ dngrs - depending on which version you were running previously before v2.1 you might have an old folder or two still being loaded from the v2.0.12 or older versions of Questie. For example these folders were in the v2.0.12 version:

Code: Select all: !QuestieCompatibility Questie

Please delete them since v2.1 and newer have combined everything into one folder/addon called !Questie. The "!" that precedes the folder name tells WoW to load that addon first above all else. This is necessary in order for the QuestTracker and QuestLogic to function correctly.

I've just completed a bug bash, added some new features and have released v2.4. Here are the list of changes:

* Added an "Elite" tag to the QuestTracker - Elite quests will now
properly carry the [+] along with the quest level tag.

* Added a minlevel/maxlevel filter along with an on/off toggle
- /questie minlevel - toggles the filter on or off
- /questie maxlevel - toggles the filter on or off

- /questie setminlevel <%number%> - accepts a number argument
this will filter/notshow quests <x> levels BELOW your current
level. - Default=6
- /questie setmaxlevel <%number%> - accepts a number argument this
will filter/notshow quests until <x> levels ABOVE your current
level. - Default=3

- These toggles/filters are independent of each other. Either one
can be enabled or disabled in any combination.

* Modified the QuestTracker/QuestArrow dragging Key Modifiers from
Shift+MouseButtonDown to CTRL+Shift+MouseButtonDown - there are too
many key combos in WoW that use the Shift key so I thought it safer to
include an additional key combo. Might resovle a crashing issue
someone reported.

* I fixed the abandon quest bug where the icon was not showing back up
on the world/minimaps.

* Due to the number of improvements that Questie has undergone these past
several weeks, the Toggle Questie button on the Worldmap is no longer
needed. If you need to toggle the icons use /questie mapaids.

* Code clean up

Are you on a Mac or PC? Not sure if it matters but use the Ctrl + Shift keys on the left hand side of your keyboard with your mouse over the QuestTracker then click and hold the left mouse button to begin dragging while holding down the Ctrl + Shift keys. Sorry for the specifics but some folks still don't know how to properly use Key Modifiers.

I assure you it works. I have 4 separate test installs as well as the computers my boys play on. It all works.

my old questie was just the 'questie' folder

Before you do anything else I'd suggest that you back up your Questie SavedVaribles file.

* Go into WoW install folder to --> WTF --> Account --> %USERNAME% --> Nostalrius Begins PvE --> %CHARACTERNAME% --> SavedVariables and save a copy of your !Questie.lua file somewhere.

* Once that is done - delete any remaining Questie.lua or Questie.lua.bak files then go into WTF --> Account --> %USERNAME% --> SavedVariables and delete any Questie.lua or Questie.lua.bak from there as well.

* Then install the newest version.

The error message in your screen shot refers to a missing function. In the older versions of Questie (before 2.1) this function was found in a separate folder/mod called !QuestieCompatibility. In versions 2.1 - 2.3 and 2.4 this folder was merged into Questie and no longer needed.
