[Addon] Questie v2.0.12 - A quest helper for vanilla!

Please make sure your WoW (specifically WTF folder) isn't write-protected.

That was the most important part of that post... might wanna open Notepad (or your editor) as Administrator too, just to make sure. Also games do NOT belong on your C: drive.

v2.0.0 beta is FINALLY out after about a month of development. I'm currently in the process of putting together a proper changelog (it's a big one)

Yeah, we decided to "pull a microsoft" and skip 1.1 all the way to 2.0.0, because it's basically been completely rewritten.

This also introduces a new versioning system, major.minor.hotfix. This way we can easily make mini-updates again, no more holding back updates for over a month.

In the meantime here's the link: https://github.com/AeroScripts/QuestieDev/releases

EDIT: I messed up that archive, fixed now.

I'm re-writing the first post, but the link is updated there too.

Hi I'm getting the same problem and when I try to turn the writing-protection off it still won't work

Don't have a lua code to hlep you out at the moment, but entering Deadmines gave me 2 lua errors. None which dissapeared from the screen.

Will update with what kind of error!

While using Cartographer there are a bunch of red question marks all over the map. Is there another map addon I can use or is there some sort of residual data from the previous info that I need to get rid of?

Yeah forgot to mention, if you intend to keep using cargotrapher you need to delete cartographer's WTF (go into the WTF folder and search "cartographer" and delete everthing found)

Alrighty, thanks! I'm curious, what map addon do you use? Oh and is there any incompatibility with Extended Quest Log? I think I saw it mentioned in a previous version. I only use it cause it makes the quests easier to read so if there is an alternative to EQL that would help as well.

It should work with EQL3 but I haven't tested it extensively with the latest release. Also, questie uses Astrolabe (an ace library) for map stuff now.

If you try EQL3 and have any issues let me know and I'll fix them asap.

I'm not familiar with Astrolabe or even aware that there's a working version of it with 1.12

I use Cartographer, so I'll need to delete the contents of the WTF folder before logging in?

edit: Yeah I got major issues after adding 2.0.0, reverted back to old version for now
