Github seem to be off, but great, i'll give it a try :)

edit: actually there seems to be a number of people having issues with alt/wow on linux

Oh... that was that. The problem disapear in full view.
Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, i can't play in full view. So, i think i will stick to the previous version (unless you make the trigger key a configurable... option ? ^^).
Thank you anyway (i'll try to see if i can configure that linux alt-thing myself, but i doubt i can).

Hi Bit.
I have been following this addon for a very long time. With the new UI update, I had to make an account and post this.

First, this addon is extremely impressive and I really appreciate your work. You are doing an outstanding job.

I have 2 major problems with the new UI.

1. When I use /aux scan the progress of the scan now shows in my chat box. This clutters up my chat box quite a bit. I think the old design of having the scan progress inside of the actual window was much cleaner.

Here is a screenshot of what I mean. I think the design could improve if the scan page status was in one of the areas I have highlighted with a red box

Image

2. The new way of entering in prices in the post tab is far worse than the old. Before, I would keep my left hand by the tab key, and my right hand over my num pad. Then I would simply punch in the numbers as I tapped tab to move my cursor to the next box. This was extremely fast and efficient.

Now, I have to move my left hand 6 times (twice for 'g', twice for 's' and twice for 'c') in order to set a bid and buyout. I also find myself sometimes mistyping g with h for instance which screws the whole thing up. This is far less efficient and a worse user experience overall.

Suggestions:
1. Allow us to instead delimit g,s, and c with white space or a '.' or a '-' or something. Have one single character that separates g,s and c rather than 3 different ones. This way my left hand could stay in one place the whole time and I wouldn't have to move all over the keyboard to type in a price. So instead of 3g45s10, I could do 3.45.10 or 3 45 10 or 3-45-10
Similarly 3g10c could be 3.0.10 or 3 0 10 3-0-10
I realize that you probably have some pretty slick string parsing right now and implementing it this way would require a bit of a rewrite. But I really can't stand the new way of typing in prices.
In general, doing it this way (e.g. 1 box where each piece of the price is delimited by some character) is not very intuitive for new users. When I first downloaded the UI update from github, I found myself trying all sorts of delimiters to enter a price. Eventually I gave up and had to come to the thread to see that it was g, s, and c. This is why there is an option 2 below!

2. Simply revert back the way it was before. Have 6 separate boxes (3 for bid and 3 for b/o). Two for gold, two for silver, and two for copper. This way the user knows exactly what to enter in what place, and can use the 'tab' key to switch boxes. Auctioneer was like this for many many years, and there was nothing wrong with it. No need to fix what is not broken. If you wanted to get really clever, you could allow users to move to the next box with characters other than tab such as '.' or '-' etc. I think this is far more intuitive and easy for the user than the above solution.

Anyways. Thanks again. Really love your work and the addon.

Cheers.

I can't scan all at once, my client just crash without any error when it pass the 300 pages, any ideas on how to do this?, I can scan by category, I don't mind, but when I get to trade goods it usually gets to 300/200 pages alone and it crash. It was watching the memory usages while doing this and got to almost 200mb which is the allocated in my settings, maybe is because of this? 200 is already a high number, not sure if putting more going to fix the problem, I also don't want to try again without advice cause you know 1 hour scanning is annoying :/

Hey Patchett, thanks for your feedback.

/aux scan is only a temporary solution until I add a scan/history tab or something. It probably won't change in the next update because I'm working on something else right now (major upgrade of the filter search tab which has long been neglected. It will get saved searches and multiple item searches) but in a few weeks it should be gone.

You can enter decimals or larger numbers per g/s/c.
3g45s10c can be written as 3.4510g or 345.10s or 34510c
May reconsider it when I have more time but I really like it.

Did you do /aux scan? That should use less memory than the filter tab. Other than that you have to wait for the next larger upgrade which will reduce memory usage a bit (or play on the PvE where there's only 150 pages total xD).

3.4510g doesn't work for me, neither does 345.10s. The only option that works is 34510c.
Unfortunately I agree with Patchett, I find the new solution much more inconvenient than the old one :/
